Dr Shariza received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Science from the University of St. Andrews in 1994 and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from The University of Manchester in 1997. She then pursued her Master Degree in Master of Science of Child Health at The University of Leeds in 2012.

As a Paediatrician, Dr Shariza is experienced in managing paediatric cases. She is also one of the adjunct lecturers for Monash University medical students who undergo their attachment at AVISENA.
