Our multi-disciplinary unit is a one stop-centre providing in-depth assessment and intervention for children with special needs. Our team provides thorough paediatric and neurological examinations with a focus on analysing developmental, psychological, language, speech and hearing factors as part of a comprehensive package.
Rest assured, all our procedures are conducted in a completely relaxing, child-friendly environment that also promotes active family participation.
Our team of accomplished and highly-coordinated medical professionals are consistently trained to provide the most up-to-date treatment methods, accompanied by advanced diagnostic and medical hardware. The main goal is to identify factors contributing to a child’s problems and develop specific recommendations to build strengths in these areas.
We provide aural rehabilitation for children with hearing and balance disorders via screening, diagnosis and specific treatment procedures. This may include proven test methodologies such as behavioural testing where a child will respond to Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) or Play Audiometry. Children who are unable to reliably respond to these tests may be subject to objective testing such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR).
Managing a child with these difficulties may be a challenge for parents, and as such, you can count on our Audiologists for counselling and support.
Our occupational therapists have ample experience working with children facing a variety of physical, cognitive and development conditions, including developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
To help these children, our team uses a range of interventions, including activities to improve motor skills, use of assistive devices and strategies for creating an environment that promotes safety and independence.
Our team can help children with communication difficulties such as speech and language delays or problems with social communications. This often includes children suffering from cerebral palsy, autism and down syndrome.
Our goal is to help them develop the skills they need to communicate effectively with others. This can be done via strategies to develop speech clarity and fluency, improve comprehension and expressions, and develop augmentative and alternative communication methods.
