Dr Nawar has a total of 13 years of experience in the Orthopaedic and Paediatric Orthopaedic field. He is a graduate from University of Malaya and received both his MBBS and Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery consecutively in the year 2001 and 2007. His specialties include Traumatology Paediatric Orthopaedic, Children Fractures & Joint Injuries, Children Deformities (congenital & acquired) and Growth-Related Orthopaedic Disorders.
He was previously a senior lecturer from the University of Malaya under the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine. He is well-experience in delivering CME talks for hospitals with a target variety of group backgrounds. He is involved in quality improvement and accreditation programs such as Joint Commission International, Clinical Quality Assurance and a few others.
Dr Nawar is often involved in many humanitarian and disaster (calamities & war) relief in many places like Palestine, Philippines and others. Other than that, he volunteers in operation on children with orthopaedic problems in Cambodia, Republic of Maldives and many provinces in Indonesia. Dr Nawar was previously the top 10 finalists for the Malaysian National Astronaut Programme in 2007.
